Currently you can use the filter to show only 1 tier of ducks and click and hold the tier up button on the first duck. It goes slowly but way faster than individual clicks on every page.
Not sure am I not deep enough in the game (T6 duck) or what, but so far I think the game needs more QoL, performance upgrade.
1. Setting up funnel with new bread type for thousands of ducks 1 by 1, every time they leveled is pure maddening.
Suggested Solution: add an upgrade for option to set a type of bread for the funnel for all duck on the same tier.
2. thousands of (lower tier) ducks as separated entities, potentially going to hit performance.
Suggested Solution: Add an upgrade for option to group up the maxed ducks in lower tier.
This could include, a single timer for bread generation or change it to a constant stream of bread; beyesian modeling for the rare/ science bread generation; let player select how many maxed ducks to bulk upgrade to next tier.
In the meantime, You can hold right click down and move your mouse down through a row of ducks to funnel them all the selected bread. Making it much easier than 1 at a time.
i did have that figured out but that is arguably still doing it 1 at a time, but it is indeed a QoL.
However, since the export is Json, i've just replace "attached_bread":"" with "attached_bread":"Wheat" in VSCode and reimport, kinda saved scrolling over around 2k ducks this way already , maybe later I'll use Json editor online and figure out how to set different attached_bread per duck tier 🤣
1. As luciferdraco mentioned, you hold right-click and move around the mouse to funnel them. A solution would be to implement hotkeys for switching pages and tiers.
2. After 20k+ ducks it starts to lag a little. I'll try and go to 50k.
EDIT: I hit a wall at 42200 ducks, after that the game won't save.
so my ducks are no longer producing bread, their timers have just stopped. i was wondering if anyone else is having this problem, or if i am just special.
Here's a step by step what I do on games on this site that have save issues for me.
I use chrome so I don't know if it works on other browsers.
I right click on the darker part of the page and click inspect (not the game itself).
Then at the top it says Elements, Console and other things, if you don't see Application click the >> and choose that
You need Application chosen.
Under the left of that section is Storage, then expand the Local Storage.
There will be one for this site as a whole, including wiji, but also one that's I guess our own individual user ID numbers since all my saves are under that rather than under wiji's url.
Just look in the list for duckbread.
Look below the Key column next to duckbread then next to it under the Value column. double click to highlight it so you can copy that and paste into notepad.
Save that with the game name, date and time maybe too in case you need to revert back later on, up to you.
Hopefully now you're good to go!
I've given it a test import several times and it worked for me but you're also on your own if it doesn't work, and I'm very sorry if this doesn't work for you. I didn't program the game and I didn't program the browsers lol, but it has always worked for me for chrome.
Hope that helps, the game doesn't export a save for me either, just pastes whatever was last copied into my copy-paste like what you mentioned.
Yeah the scaling of bread begins to increase rapidly after a certain amount of ducks to encourage us to continue tiering up our ducks. In previous versions of the game we could stay in the first few tiers of ducks and just gather tons of ducks that way without ever having the higher tiers of ducks.
Thanks for pointing this out to us, Epicgamer2592. Our developer thought this was fixed, and is trying to figure out why it's still broken. We'll have an update out to (hopefully) fix this once and for all.
If possible, would you be able to elaborate on what glitched with the Duck O' XP?
We've got an update in progress that will alleviate the issue with having 2000 ducks and individually upgrading them. We're also looking into what may be wrong with the Maximum Science achievement, to see what may be wrong.
Currently, the 'XP Bread' doubles the digits, that's why it goes so high in nubmers.
The game logic is that the duck levels up after it reaches 00:00 seconds. When you feed it another type of bread, it goes to 00 and the duck levels up.
One solution might be to give the 'XP Bread' the ability to reduce the remaining time.
this game is fun but really needs a button to upgrade every duck on the page, and to change what bread every duck is eating. Clicking every single duck then having to right click every single duck is great until you have 5+ pages of ducks and then it is just a chore.
the other thing I think is needed is being able to un-Super a duck or have a warning before it becomes a super. I made a super by accident and it is just stuck now. (cant upgrade it. or anything)
really good idle game otherwise. I hope it gets more updates!
You might've clicked at a duck with it. Check your highest level ducks if their level is rising when the bread is disappearing. If it is, right-click them all with empty hand to remove any auto feed.
you might have right clicked a duck with the rare bread and now that duck will take all the rare bread. look for a super duck gaining levels by itself.
I'm really liking the game! It's dope and I'm seeing myself playing it on mobile in a later stage.
I played for 24 hours so far, here's some comments:
- In the hourly game, if i turn off "Falling Bread" setting, I'm not getting any rewards
- In late game, Science Bread falls rapidly around my cursor (Falling Bread is turned off in settings). That gives me some lag and I can't see the screen well
- I'm having 20M Science Bread... What can I do with it? I already researched everything
- One of the ducks was very rude, it quacked at me...
It seems like when you right click the duck it consumes it at 1 per second but doesn't indicate the bread type so if there was something to show that it was using the upgrade...
I've a question though: I have an orange duck lvl 500+, and sometimes it asks for huge amounts of bread in a red box thingy in the top left corner of the duck thing. What am I feeding it these huge amounts of bread for? What's the purpose?
Hi Murder Mouse, thanks for the question! When you have a super duck, in exchange for producing more bread of its tier, it eats more bread when it's hungry. Bread that is required for feeding should be the bread produced by the previous tier of duck.
Super ducks have a huge metabolism, since they're baking so much!
Is there a way to speed up the research timer? I found it quite disheartening to finally save up enough science bread for a big upgrade, only for it to take another two-and-a-half hours to actually activate after you pay for it.
Hi dbfnq, thanks for playing the game! It's been one of the main feedback points that we've received about the game, and are testing ideas to make the research process feel better to use, and not just a waiting game after grinding out the science bread.
Hi Murder Mouse, thanks for playing our game, we appreciate the feedback! We agree that it's slow. We initially intended for the game to be a true idler, something that you checked in on every once in a while, and later on were able to set and forget. However we've discovered that there are some tweaks to implementation of that idea that could massively improve playability and enjoyment while still allowing the game to feel like an "idler."
Do you have any intention of creating a webpage for this game? Because I feel like this game could be much bigger and have more content. My dude, you're onto something here. This game is cute as fuck so I have to see it developed more.
Edit: Also, the quacking is just damn cute.
Edit #2: Oh and in the Challenge section, why not add different kinds of mini games for bonuses and/or ducks? Or bread? For example, the little game you have now is good, but also how about a little whack-a-duck (whack-a-mole?) game where we whack ducks that poke their little duck heads out of holes randomly and they quack when you hit them (ooooh, calling it Quack A Duck??)??
OR you could have ducks running across the top of the game screen window and as they run past, they drop loaves of bread and you have to catch them in a bread basket to get bonuses, and different ducks move at different speeds depending on their kind.
OR a duck moves around the little game window and randomly quacks its little mouth open, and you have to toss a loaf of bread into its little quacking mouth. You get a reward according to how many loaves you managed to toss in.
Or something like that. I'm sure there's different things you could put there that we can play once every hour (maybe a different game appears randomly once every hour?).
Thanks so much for playing our game, Murder Mouse! We've just released our most recent update, we hope you enjoy (you will probably want to start a new save for this one, it's a doozy)! We haven't thought far enough ahead to think past itch.io, but having a dedicated website isn't out of the realm of possibility. In terms of the hourly challenge, we agree! We want to get a single minigame to an enjoyable state, but are actively considering other games to add on a rotation, and we absolutely loved your Quack-A-Duck, and Loaf Catching game ideas!
Thanks so much for your enthusiasm, it really makes us so happy to know that there are players out there who enjoy what we've made.
It's seems like I broke UI at some point. It was at the moment when I'm upgrade tier 9 duck. Other pages works fine btw. Also, I'm enjoyed most game except research part. It's feel to slow in comperes with main game.
Hi PbICb259 thanks for playing the game! We're working on testing a fix to this right now, thanks for identifying the bug!
We hear you on the Research portion as well, it's been one of the main points of feedback we've received, and we're working on ways to make it less tedious and more rewarding.
Hi PbICb259, just wanted to let you know that we've pushed an update to the game and now your ducks should be back in working order. We've also retooled the Research tab to be less tedious. Hope you enjoy!

Bread no longer seems to contribute to time, and rare bread doesn't level up anymore
same issue and im not earning bread
Confirmed!
Could there be a way to bulk tier up ducks?

How to UNNASSIGN them? Now they sit there and keep all that "special" bread to depletion...
if you're talking about the funnel you have to right click with the bread dropped
It was the first I tried. I even reloaded it to make sure it was not "holding" anything. Rightclicking will not empty the feeding from the rare bread.
It works for me, but I uses firefox, so maybe it is a browser problem? or maybe it's bug
so my ducks are no longer producing bread, their timers have just stopped. i was wondering if anyone else is having this problem, or if i am just special.
Export your save in notepad and check if "globalTime":1. Timers go off if it's 0.
when i hit export save, and put it into note pad, it is just doing my last copy, not the save
i am guessing my pc is being dumb
Here's a step by step what I do on games on this site that have save issues for me.

Has anyone figured out the "Monster" achievement?
Right now the game seems without an end goal.
I'm on 15k ducks and starting to notice light lagging. Also the market gives me only +13 ducks, so "get ridiculous amount of ducks" is a no go.
"Get a duck to 100k level" also seems impossible due to the nerfed rare bread.
So yeah... Patiently waiting for future updates.
I got 30 on the hourly game :)
1mil pumkin bred for 6 ducks
and you shud call the markeet the duck stok market
and you nerft the sienc bret rate to much
What's with the white bread prices?
Ah, I see, white bread offers disappeared after I got pumpkin bread. Still, 7 mil price was kinda scary...
in all of updade 3 i havent got one rare bread at all
I've got it from hourly challenge, I don't remember if I gon any from ducks
i ment from my duck so thats broken
now if we want a good source of science bread we have to keep tiering ducks up since science bread from ducks is less common.
Yeah the scaling of bread begins to increase rapidly after a certain amount of ducks to encourage us to continue tiering up our ducks. In previous versions of the game we could stay in the first few tiers of ducks and just gather tons of ducks that way without ever having the higher tiers of ducks.
im the game breaker cus i broke you game severel times
Did you have fun playing the EDM hi-hats with the game sound effects? ;-)
my duck ant genarating bread
and i think im the gye that plays this game most lol
I'm right here with you :)
i think ve play it more than the creator
can give rare bred and the duck market broke
and i dont get siens bred if i upgrad ann duck
ha stil broke you lazy butten
The update of the hourly game is cool, really liking the green circle.
ha jonkt you duck
Somewhere around 10k+ ducks, the game starts lagging.
Around 20k+ ducks, the game lag is strong. The falling science bread is not helping...
Thanks for letting us know, Narkomanji, we appreciate it! We'll experiment with solutions for this lag, and how to fix it.
ha broke you game
Thanks for pointing this out to us, Epicgamer2592. Our developer thought this was fixed, and is trying to figure out why it's still broken. We'll have an update out to (hopefully) fix this once and for all.
and ther is some gliches wiht duck o xp its break the game
and pless add an upgrade all ducks butte cus i have 2000 dukes and i dont want to induviduel upgrade them all
and ogso fix the maximum sienc acefment
thanks

and its just op

hig speed tunnel dosent work right
it works, its just the bread icon only shows on the first duck of the page
Quack
how to get duck o xp
Duck'o XP is the Tier-8 duck.
It's bread (the glowing one) is best used for quickly level up a duck.
For best efficiency you'll need to auto feed the duck with it.
Doesn't start on Chrome for me. Works fine on Firefox though.
I'm really liking the game! It's dope and I'm seeing myself playing it on mobile in a later stage.

It seems like when you right click the duck it consumes it at 1 per second but doesn't indicate the bread type so if there was something to show that it was using the upgrade...
After a while, when most research is done, it stops generating bread and all bread is empty. Why?
I've a question though: I have an orange duck lvl 500+, and sometimes it asks for huge amounts of bread in a red box thingy in the top left corner of the duck thing. What am I feeding it these huge amounts of bread for? What's the purpose?

Is there a way to tier up Super ducks? I accidently made a second super duck of a tier and wanted to undo that.
Also, it would be great to be able to reorder ducks, especially with super ducks, they end up mixed in with higher tier ducks.
Is there a way to speed up the research timer? I found it quite disheartening to finally save up enough science bread for a big upgrade, only for it to take another two-and-a-half hours to actually activate after you pay for it.

Possible bug: the Bread Store achievement is currently at 231%, but hasn't completed.
Thanks for playing! We accidentally added an extra digit in our code. This has been fixed and will be remedied in a coming update.
Looks like this is now working - when I reloaded the achievement has been awarded. Thanks!
it do be like that.
